Eligibility

All undergraduate students are eligible to participate.

Team

A maximum of four members per team is permissible. Only one robot per team is permissible.

Machine Specifications

  • The machine should fit within a box of dimensions (300x300x300) mm at the start of the game. Each team will have to pass a dimension test before their respective matches.
  • The machine can be wired or wireless. In case, the machine is wireless, it should have dual frequency remote.
  • Remotes having wireless control will have to be submitted at the starting of the event.
  • Use of readymade kits is not allowed, but one can use the readymade circuits, gear assemblies, motors,actuators etc.
  • No explosive material should be used.
  • The machine should not damage the track.

Problem Statement

The event is a race comprising of 5 ZONES which in turn contain various obstacles which will test the robustness of the bot and controllers abilities to maneuver through hindrances to complete the track in the given time.

The Track

 


  • The race comprises of 5 zones as shown in the figure.

  • Each zone is rendered cleared only when the complete bot crosses the ZONE COMPLETE line which will be marked on the track.

  • There will be blocks placed randomly throughout the track which will be have to be thrown off into areas called pits. This will fetch the participant teams
    bonus points. Dumping these blocks into the PITS is NOT MANDATORY
    EACH DUMP INTO THE PITS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED VALID IF THE BLOCK FALLS INTO THE SPECIFIED AREA.

  • The block size will be  (6x6x6) cm.

  • The bot may not dissemble into parts after the start of the race. The whole bot is required to cross the finish line in order to complete the race.

Two timeouts will be provided to each team in case of any .Each timeout will carry a penalty and points will be deducted in case the team uses it. Participants are allowed to carry out modifications during timeouts. Modifications do not include the following

1. Actuators (motors, servos, propellers)
2. Power supply

SCORING SYSTEM WILL BE DECLARED ON THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION. POINTS SCORED WILL BE GIVEN THE PRIORITY, IN CASE OF TIE TIME TAKEN TO COMPLETE THE TRACK WILL BE USED.
    
Decision taken by judges and organizers will be final.

Power Supply

Maximum onboard 24V DC power supply is permitted. Participants shall be provided with 230V AC supply only for charging purpose.
Use of chargers instead of batteries for driving the bot is prohibited.
